London Heathrow is soon going to be home of the world’s fastest check-in operation thanks to Virgin Atlantic. As of the 2nd November, both business class and upper class passengers will be able to give check in details to limousine drivers and then taken into an arrival area where a Virgin Atlantic host will be waiting. Instead of having to move all the way through Terminal 3, passengers will then be taken into the new Zone A which is much more spacious and then on to the dedicated security channel and on to the Virgin Atlantic lounge.

London Heathrow has not had much luck of late, with a lot of bad publicity on over crowding and security delays, but this is all set to change with the new Upper Class Wing. The Wing is even better news for Virgin Atlantic as it means that it has put pressure on competitor carriers.

This is just the beginning for Terminal 3 as there is a £1bn revamp planned for the next 10 years. Faster check-in processes are hoped to be launched during this time. The new check-in process is said to be fast, efficient and a refreshing change for travellers.
