Turkish Airlines’ special Barcelona FC-liveried Boeing 737-800 made its first visit to Birmingham Airport today, arriving from Istanbul on one of the five-weekly services the airline operates out of Birmingham.

The Barcelona FC colour scheme marks the signing of a sponsorship deal between the Turkish flag-carrier and the Spanish La Liga club, who boast the likes of Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry in their ranks.

As part of the tie-up the airline will carry the Barcelona squad to tournaments and camps outside of Spain.
