Thomas Cook named Travel Agent of the year November 16th 2007 by Kirstie

The British Travel Awards were held last night in London and Thomas Cook came out as Travel Agent of the year.

First Choice also won the award for the most environmentally-friendly large operator and Thomson was found to be travellers’ favourite large Package holiday company.

When it came to airlines, ThomsonFly was voted the favourite leisure airline, with Virgin Atlantic voted airline of the year and the best long-haul scheduled airline. EasyJet then won the award for favourite low-cost carrier.

The awards were a chance to reward agents and airlines for all their hard work over the year and a chance for them to recognise that people appreciate what they do.
