Birmingham International Airport have begun £45 million worth of work on their expansion project for Terminal 1.

The new facility which has been dubbed the International Pier will be 3 storeys tall and 240 metres in length.

The Terminal will have space for 7 wide-bodied aircrafts as well as 13 smaller aircrafts. there will also be new passenger lounges to enjoy.

The new facility will ensure that Birmingham remains a competitive airport and will hopefully gain more business.

Both locals and foreigners using the new and improved terminal will be very impressed with what they see. There will be enough facilities to ensure that the growing demand for international services can be found from Birmingham.

The terminal is being designed to ensure that it can also house future aircraft such as the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
