Travel Weekly conducted a survey that revealed that 75% of the 2,015 people surveyed chose their flights based on the cost.

Cost seemed to be the most important factor, followed by being able to fly from a local airport and lastly the reputation of an airline and the level of customer service that it provides.

Although there is a lot of publicity about global warming and the environment at the moment, only 3% of people made their decision based on an airlines carbon offsetting scheme.

People are more concerned with actually going on holiday and how they are going to get on their holiday rather than the effect that it is having on the environment.
