The British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) has declared its support for the Heathrow expansion.

The Association have showed their enthusiasm at a 6th terminal and a third runway being built.

They believe that the new runway is needed in order for the airport to successfully compete with its rival European cities. The new runway would measure at 2,200 metres long.

The organisation has said that they believe that not building the new runway and terminal will only cause problems in the future.

Many high profile’s from the tourism industry have voiced their support of the plans of the expansion. Virgin Atlantic and British Airways both agree with the plans.
