Northwest AirlinesNorthwest Airlines is set to begin a new route between Heathrow and the US.

The flights will be between Heathrow, Minneapolis and Detroit. It will be the first American Airline to launch Heathrow to US routes in 17 years.

Northwest Airlines will be using KLM’s landing and take-off runways at Heathrow.

So many passengers want to make that journey, which is why Northwest introduced it. They believe that it could make a lot of money.

The Open Skies aviation deal is the reason why this route is being made possible. At this moment in time, only American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and United Airlines can operate direct flights on this route.
