Jet2.com has announced that it will begin flights to Sharm el Sheikh in February.

The new route will be between Leeds Bradford Airport and Sharm el Sheikh making the first link from the Yorkshire region to the Egyptian resort.

Sharm el Sheikh has year round sunshine and is home to some of the best beaches with crystal clear waters meaning it will be a very welcomed addition to the airport.

Jet2holidays is already taking bookings for the new service.

The new route will being more custom to the airport making it a more popular option.

The new route means people in Yorkshire have a wider range of choices available to them meaning more of them are likely to choose a holiday from the airport.
