Aer Lingus flights departing from Belfast began operating for the first time today.
The routes that are beginning today are Amsterdam, Barcelona and Geneva. Further routes will begin operation next year to London Heathrow, Rome, Budapest, Malaga, Faro and Nice.
Passengers are already booking for the new flights next year. They are doing this directly via Aer Lingus’s website.
There are now 30 direct routes to continental Europe with has increased greatly as just three years ago, there was only one.
