New plans are being set out by the government to protect against possible terror attacks. There will be barriers and special glass used at airports to protect people.

The new measures will help airports protect themselves against attacks such as the vehicle bomb attack in Glasgow Airport earlier this year.

There are also talks of ‘robust physical barriers’ for protection against bombings, a vehicle exclusion zone and making the airports blast resistant. The vehicle exclusion zone will only be for unauthorised vehicles.

It is important that the airports step up their security measures in order to prevent more disasters happening.
