The popularity of destinations such as Orlando, Malaga and Tenerife have all led to the UK’s major airports handling more passengers in October 2007 than they did in October 2006.
BAA reported that the airports handled 13.2 million passengers which is an increase of 3.5%.
Gatwick was one of the most popular airports that enabled passengers to travel to the top 5 destinations. Gatwick had an increase of 4.9%, Heathrow 3.8% and Stansted 1.8%.
Edinburgh and Aberdeen also did well last month.
