Monarch awarded ‘Airline of the Year – Leisure’
14th September 2007 at 02:32pm by Kevin Newton
Last night at the 2007 Travel Trade Gazette awards held in Old Billingsgate, Monarch retained the prestigious ‘Airline of the Year – Leisure’ award after being crowned with the title last year.
The panel of 37 judges made up of travel industry experts judged that Monarch was worthy of retaining the award, triumphing over a number of other nominated airlines including Thomas Cook Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.
Monarch’s Managing Director Tim Jeans was on hand to receive the award, pictured here with host TV comedian Rob Brydon and cheapflights.co.uk UK General Manager Farancessca Ecsery.
