Checking-in using a mobile phone is said to give passengers a greater choice of checking-in options.

Virgin Atlantic are currently unsure exactly how popular the service will be, although they believe it to be very beneficial as passengers can have their boarding cards sent to their phone which can then be read straight from the device.

Most people nowadays have a mobile phone and this service will definitely save them time.

Departure information including departure gate numbers and flight times will be sent to the passengers phones.
