Passengers are increasingly in demand of premium seats on long-haul flights, meaning that airlines will soon be scaling down the number of economy seats they have at the rear of the aircraft.
More and more people are wanting to upgrade when travelling on a long-haul flight so the option is that there will wither be larger economy seats or less economy seats altogether.
Emirates has even claimed that it plans to fly a two-class service on its new 640 seat A330. More and more airlines want to devote more space to first class and business class cabins as most people now travel in these classes. They want to devote their maximum number of seats to the higher classes rather than economy.
