Virgin Atlantic opens new terminal Wednesday, December 19th 2007

Virgin Atlantic opened its new terminal yesterday which is located in Heathrow’s Terminal 3.
The new terminal is said to make the whole check-in process a lot faster and easier.
There is an Upper Class Wing which is a business passenger facility which is said to give the fastest check-in process in the world.

Thomas Cook increases legroom Wednesday, December 19th 2007

Passengers flying in economy class on long-haul flights with Thomas Cook next year will benefit from extra legroom.
The seat pitches are now 30 inches but will be increased to 33 inches by May 2008.
The increase in legroom will happen on all Thomas Cook and MyTravel aircrafts as this becomes part of Thomas Cook in March.

Ryanair increases number of flights from Manchester Tuesday, December 18th 2007

Ryanair is to offer new services from 2008 to Milan, Marseille, Girona and Bremen from Manchester.
Ryanair wants to have 12 flights a week from Manchester airport.  By June, a further four routes will be added and yet another four by the summer of 2009.
Low-cost airlines are the greatest cause of passenger growth at Manchester.
