Mastrihari - Located In The Middle Of The North Coast Of Kos

Mastrihari is a resort that appeals to people looking to get away to a quiet relaxing place where they can really find peace. The transfer time for this resort is only around 15 minutes, meaning you have plenty of time to enjoy in the resort itself. The beach in Mastrihari is long and covered in golden sand. The beach has gentle sea breezes keeping you cool in the hot temperatures. Sunbeds and parasols are all available at the beach and there are a few beach side taverns for you to enjoy. The water is generally calm, however the sea breeze does create some waves so it is important to keep children accompanied at all times. There are a number of hotels located in Mastrihari, particularly at the end of the beach. They are all generally 2-4-stars and offer half-board or all-inclusive.



Mastrihari - Plenty Of Beach Activities To Enjoy

Mastrihari is a quiet resort, however there at still some beach activities to enjoy such as one of the many water sports available. A favourite at the beach is windsurfing as the sea breeze creates some brilliant waves for people to try out. As well as this you can try normal surfing, swimming or one of the many boat trips. Cycling is a popular activity in the resort and it also a good way of getting round the resort and taking in the sights. There are also a number of boat trips available in Mastrihari that take you to other resort and islands such as Pserimos and Kalymnos. Kos Town is also a good resort to go and visit for shopping, sightseeing and nightlife.



Mastrihari - A Number Of Taverns To Choose From

Mastrihari has a number of taverns offering mainly traditional Greek cuisine as well as seafood. Although you may find a few British options, the main choice on offer is Greek. The nightlife in Mastrihari is very limited compared to other resorts as there are just a few bars and taverns for you to choose from. Music and cocktails are offered but the resort is not one where you can stay up all night long. You are limited when it comes to shopping in Mastrihari, with just a handful of mini markets, a supermarket and a few souvenir shops. If you want to try some serious shopping then the best place to head to is Kos Town. Public transport in the resort is limited with a bus service that takes you into Kos Town or a taxi rank in the resort. As well as this, there is car and bike hire available or a ferry into Kalymnos.



Mastrihari - Long Hot Mediterranean Summers

Mastrihari enjoys a Mediterranean climate of very long and hot summers. July and August are the hottest months in the resort with an average temperature of 25°C although this commonly rises to highs of well over 30°C. May is the official start to the summer with temperatures at 21°C which quickly rises to 25°C by June. There is normally no rainfall over July and August and the evenings remain hot at highs of 22°C. July and August see 12 hours of sunshine a day which drops to around 5 hours a day in the winter. Spring and Autumn are pleasant times to come if you are not keen on very hot weather, with temperatures mostly ranging between 16-20°C. Winters tend to be mild in Mastrihari with temperatures staying at around 10°C. Between October and May you can expect to see some rainfall but not to the extent that we are used to. December if the wettest month in Mastrihari however it still tends to remain fairly warm.
