Paphos - Located In The South West Corner Or Cyprus

Paphos is the perfect resorts for families as there is so much for everyone to do. British tourists find the resort a very popular place to go. To get to Paphos you would fly into Paphos International Airport so your transfer time would be very short, giving you plenty of time in resort. There are 4 beaches in Paphos, however Coral Bay is considered the best. There are calm shallow waters making it safe for children and it is covered on fine, pale sand. You will also find parasols and sun loungers on some beaches for hire. There are many 3-4-star hotels in Paphos, although you will also find a number of 5-star hotels. You will also find a number of apartments and you will be offered everything from self-catering to an all-inclusive board basis. Flights to Paphos take approximately 4.5 hours.



Paphos - Plenty Of Water Sports For You To Enjoy

Paphos is home to some brilliant beaches and is therefore home to some brilliant water sports. You can try windsurfing, snorkelling, surfing, scuba diving, swimming, jet-skiing and water-skiing. If you would rather stay on dry land then there are plenty of other activities to try including visiting the Tomb of the Kings. This is a World Heritage site and is very popular with both tourists and locals. It is also very scenic and if you are interested in history, then you will definitely be interested in this. There is plenty more sightseeing to do in Paphos with both historical and picturesque sites. Hiking is a popular activity and is a great way to get some brilliant views of Paphos.



Paphos - Plenty Of Restaurants To Choose From

Paphos has some brilliant restaurants with a range of cuisines to choose from. You will find Italian, British, Chinese and Indian cuisines among others in Paphos. There is also a lot of seafood and fast food places to enjoy after a night out. There is plenty of nightlife for you to enjoy with a number of lively bars offering karaoke, cocktails, music and entertainment. There are also plenty of British style pubs. Discos and nightclubs are popular in Paphos and many hotels are even home to their own nightclubs that offer live bands and DJs. If you prefer something different to this, then why not try a visit to the cinema one evening. Paphos Town has some brilliant shops to enjoy where you will find everything from leather goods to souvenirs, from clothing to jewellery and from crafts to supermarkets. Public transport in Paphos is very good, with regular buses taking you in and around the resort from early morning until late evening. You will also find a lot of taxis in the area that are available 24 hours a day.



Paphos - Very Hot Temperatures In The Summer Months

Paphos is a very hot resort with temperatures sometimes reaching above 40°C. You are guaranteed to need high factor sun cream when visiting this destination. July and August are the hottest months in Paphos with average temperatures of 35°C. You will also have 13 hours of pure sunshine a day. Winters are very short and mild with January and February being the coldest months. Even though they are cold, they still have temperatures of at least 15°C. Rainfall only occurs 40 days out of the year but this is very short lived and the sun still tends to shine. There is not always a breeze in Paphos so many people decide to keep to the shade at times. The temperature will not fall below 30°C from June to September, leaving you with warm sea temperatures, making it perfect for water sports. The night also remains warm so it is advised that you get air conditioning in your accommodation.
