San Jose Information
San Jose - A Large, Upmarket Resort
San Jose is an upmarket resort located in the south west of Ibiza. One difference about San Jose compared to the other resorts in Ibiza is that it is located amongst the hills of the tallest mountain known as Sa Talaia, giving you amazing views of the rest of Ibiza. It is a very scenic area as it is located in open country side with the nearest beaches located in San Antonio Bay and Port des Torrent. San Jose is mainly somewhere to stay and as it is very quiet, many people choose to go to other resorts such as San Antonio during the day. San Jose is very large as it covers the whole south west side of Ibiza, proving that there are many scenic sights to be seen.
San Jose - Quiet And Relaxing
San Jose is a very scenic resort and many people do go into San Antonio to find something to do. There is entertainment and activities within hotels, but other than that the real action is in San Antonio. From San Jose, you can catch the island coach tour which enables you to see the rest of the island for a day. Boat trips are also available but these are from San Antonio. The water sports can be done in San Antonio and this is where you will find all of the nightlife. If you are looking for a truly relaxing holiday then you should definitely visit San Jose as here you can enjoy a quiet meal in one of the restaurants before heading back to your accommodation.
San Jose - Very Scenic And Enjoyable
San Jose holidays are for those who enjoy looking at scenery, relaxing in the quiet and going out for nice evening meals. As San Jose is located halfway up Sa Talaia, it is possible to see the best sunset. It is possible to go all the way to the top of the mountain and here is where you will see views of Ibiza and Mallorca, as well as catching an amazing sunset. Many have said that this is the prettiest corner of the island as it has wildlife, trees, plants and amazing views. There are a few banks located in San Jose, which are open from 9am until 2pm on week days. There are a few shops selling souvenirs and food, along with restaurants and a medical centre. There is a bus that takes you to San Antonio, Ibiza Town and on to the coast.
San Jose - Blue Skies And Amazing Views
San Jose has very good weather although in the winter it can be colder than some other resorts due to its high altitude. During the summer, temperatures soar above 30C and there is rarely a cloud in sight. Even at night, you watch the sunset in a cloudless sky. San Jose does experience rainfall in the winter months and lower temperatures but the sights that you see make it all worthwhile. At the top of the mountain you will have excellent visibility of the rest of the island and still experience high temperatures.
