Porto Cristo - Located On The East Coast Of Majorca

The resort is perfect for families looking for a relaxing holiday together. The resort does not cater well for 18-30\'s as there is limited entertainment, but for people who want to relax, it is the perfect destination. The transfer time is around 1 and a half hours so you can gather your surroundings while on your transfer and get a feel for the resort. The beach is long, however it can get crowded at peak times. The beach is well worth a visit, as it is covered with golden sands and turquoise waters. You can use the showers and sunbeds on the beach, as well as the parasols. There are many hotels in Porto Cristo with a few apartments. Most of the hotels range from 2-4star, but the majority are 3-star.



Porto Cristo - Pleasant Walks Around The Resort

Porto Cristo is not a resort to go to if you are wanting to experience a lot of physical activities. Cycling and hiking are options, although the main activity that you can take part in is taking walks around the resort. There are many excursions that you could take part in, including trips to Palma, the Caves of Drach, Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia. You can find more shops, more bars and more places to eat. Many of the excursions last a whole day, however you can find ones that are only half day trips. There is a small aquarium which children will enjoy but other than that you can just lay on the beach and admire the scenery and landscape of the resort.



Porto Cristo - Plenty Of Places To Eat And Drink

Porto Cristo does have a wide selection of restaurants. There is Italian, Spanish, Mediterranean and English cuisines to choose from. There are a few bars where you will find music, however there is nothing that really stays open until the early hours. There are also a few shops available selling clothing, jewellery and souvenirs. If you were looking for something different and special, then the pearl shop is definitely worth a visit. There is a regular bus service available that takes you around the resort and then into other resorts such as Palma so you can experience a more lively atmosphere.



Porto Cristo - Perfect Weather For Tourists

Between May and October there is little rainfall making it the perfect destination for a summer holiday. During the winter months it is slightly colder with rainfall so jackets are advised. The summer temperatures are around 30C so sun worshippers are definitely going to love the resort. In winter, the temperature rarely drops below 10C, however there can be a breeze, which is welcomed in the summer, however slightly chilling in the winter.
