Porto Colom - Located On The South East Coast Of Majorca

Porto Colom is a quiet resort that appeals to many families. The transfer time is around 1 and a half to 2 hours so you can take in your surroundings and get a feel for the resort and the island itself whilst travelling. The beach in Porto Colom is known as Cala Marçal and is filled with golden sands and gorgeous warm waters. You have changing rooms, sunbeds and parasols on the beach so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Most of the accommodation that you will find in Porto Colom is 3-4-star, meaning that you can spend your stay in Porto Colom in luxury.



Porto Colom - Water Sports And Other Activities To Keep You Occupied

There are many water sports available in Porto Colom, including jet-skiing, windsurfing, paragliding, para-sailing, scuba diving and snorkelling. There are also some land activities which are just as popular. These include cycling, hiking and walks to the local lighthouse which gives you brilliant views of the resort. There are many excursions that you could take part in, including trips to Palma, the Caves of Drach, Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia. You can find more shops, more bars and more places to eat. Many of the excursions last a whole day, however you can find ones that are only half day trips.

Porto Colom has many seafront restaurants and bars for you to enjoy. You will find a few different cuisines such as Chinese, Thai, English, Italian and Spanish and there is a lot of sea food on offer. There is a cocktail bar and 3 nightclubs for you to enjoy, should you want a lively evening. The public transport in Porto Colom is quite good, with regular buses taking you to resorts such as Palma. There is a market held from June to September on Tuesdays and Saturdays as well as a few shops selling clothing, jewellery and souvenirs. You are well catered for in the resort and the good weather means that you have a lot of time do carry out many activities.



Porto Colom - Perfect Summer Weather

Porto Colom has very hot weather, especially during July and August. All the way between May and October is sunshine and its only from November to April that you may need a jacket in the evenings. It is also more likely to rain in the winter months so you may wish to wrap up warm. However, there is always sunshine at some stage during the day, and this is normally very warm. The summer temperatures rarely fall below 30C and the winter temperatures rarely fall below 10C. The resort is perfect for water sports, with warm water temperatures present for most of the year.
