Ca'n Picafort - Located On The North-East Coast Of Majorca

Ca'n Picafort is a very relaxing resort that appeals to couples and families, with a very appealing beach, boasting golden sands and clear, shallow waters. The beach is very clean and children are safe in the shallow waters of the sea. The resort is purpose-built and home to nearly fifty of the hotels available in Palma. The ratings go up to 4-star, including apartments. Flights to Palma take approximately 2.5 hours.



Ca'n Picafort - Land And Sea Activities Available To You

Ca'n Picafort does offer a few water sports activities to you such as windsurfing and scuba diving, however there are not as many on offer as there are in other resorts. Cycling and horse-riding are popular activities in the resort and there is a lot of history to be explored. There are trips to other resorts on boats and via coaches that enable you to see other attractions such as the S'Albufera Park. This park is full of wild birds making it the perfect attraction for those who enjoy nature. The beach of San Baulo has a nature reserve behind it where many animals have also been spotted. The fiesta that takes place in Ca'n Picafort is the Fiesta of the Ducks which involves people swimming after ducks and capturing them. However, no ducks are harmed and are released afterwards.

Ca'n Picafort is home to a few restaurants offering fast food, Italian and Spanish food. Most restaurants can be found near the beach and are very popular amongst tourists. There are over 4 bars and 3 clubs for people to enjoy should that want a bit of a lively nightlife. Otherwise, entertainment is shown in hotels in the evenings where everyone is welcome. A reliable bus service takes you to nearby resorts such as Palma, Puerto de Pollensa and Alcudia. Taxis are also available and you should find their fixed rate prices at the ranks. Most taxis are reasonably priced, as are the buses.

Ca'n Picafort offers beautiful weather to tourists, especially in the summer. If the July and August temperatures of 30°C are too much for you, then a trip in April would be good for you as the temperatures are similar to British summers. The water temperatures remain high throughout the year making the sea perfect for water sports. In the winter, temperatures rarely drop below 10°C, since the resort is suitably situated along the coast.
