“ hotel fine - rooms fine - cleanliness fine - pool not clean - bar kept very low on drinks and food was good what we had but due to the fact there were only a few people staying it wasn't buffet style.plus the tv had all english channels removed after a few days of out stay. ”

Green House Apartments And Hotel
“ Good value for money break . Setting in quieter area of Gumbet. Good food at very reasonable prices. Excellent Turkish night with great entertainment. Helpful and polite staff. Pool very clean but very cold. Towels could have been changed more often and it would have nice if the apartment had been cleaned at least once during our 2 week stay however. Very enjoyable overall and we would certainly go again. ”

“ Reviews l read myself were accurate 2* but friendly and very helpful staff. I would recommend this as a room only hotel tho' as the food lacked imagination and was very basic. Very close to the beach but nothing more for children. ”

Sun Club Bodrum Hotel
“ The hotel was in a fantastic postion in the center of all the life!. I would say that this hotel needs to be an 18/30 club. We were actually lucky as our room was the furthest from the reception area were all the night life was. We did hear the music from the clubs but it was just a faint thud and didnt stop till around 3.30am in the morning. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcom. The food was good but could be better in catering more for the english.I would personally cut some of the meals times out and cater for a better meal in the evening. The pool was a reasonabole size does need attention as my son age 3 cut his foot due to the tiles coming off. The water in the pool became very cloudy during our stay and a slight smell. I would ask for attention to be payed to the air conditioning units ours was very noisey and the filter needed cleaning as it was full of dust. Nice hotel not for families with children couples may be up to the age of 30. Seniors a no go. ”

Ozukara Apartments 2
“ Just come back from the Ozukara Apartments 2. Had a lovely time the staff very friendly and helpful. I gave the cleaner a tip when she first changed our sheets and towels and she made sure we had them changed on a regular basis. We went with two of our children aged 9 & 14 they made friends around the pool and had a great time. Weather was great. Good eating places outside the apartments: China Town, Ozukara Restaurant, Annaolivier (think thats how its spelt). Go on the 5 bay boat trip and the Water park was good. All in all a very nice and relaxing holiday. For the younger Bar Street just down road but not too close that you could hear noise from apartments. You might like to note that you have to pay for safe, air conditioning and a deposit when you arrive. We had been to turkey before so was aware of this but some hadn't and wasn't that pleased. We also decided to ask for extra time in apartment as check out time is 12 noon and our we weren't getting picked up till 1am but it did cost us 50.00 so you may be better booking and extra day. We would go again to Gumbet and to these apartments. ”

Club Arya Apart and Hotel Gumbet (Aparthotel)
“ The apartments were in an ideal location, literally across the road from the beach and 2 minutes from bar street, therefore making the apartments a perfect choice for young holiday makers. The only downside from our holiday was the sun loungers around the pool. A lot of tourists put their towels on the loungers before we had even got back from a night out, however did not even use the loungers during the day. I know this happens all over the place with selfish people, however it would have been good if the pool bar staff removed these towels for other people to sit around the pool. Although, to be honest, that is probably the only downside from our holiday. It was an amazing 10 nights and I would certainly recommend Arya to young people on a budget that don't want to compromise on quality! ”

Art Bodrum Hotel
“ The hotel was really nice, staff very helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was the room they put us in when we first arrived at the hotel, I could only describe it as a basement! There were no windows, certainly not the balcony with sea view we had paid for. After a lot of moaning we got moved to a 2 person room (there were three of us) overnight meaning I had to sleep on the very hard floor and then the next afternoon we were moved into a much nicer room with a terrace and WINDOWS and air con that worked. Oh and we had to steal some toilet roll from the pool toilets because the cleaner never gave us any! Other than that, very enjoyable. The food was really varied lots of salad and a bit of an adventure as it was often not labeled, but always lots of choice. ”

Riviera Guler Resort Hotel
“ Hotel was nice, food was disgusting, no signs up to say what it was. The pool bar only served 1 drink at a time and come 22:50 we were refused another drink if we had one in front of us. The bar closes at 23:00. Not recommended if unfit. It's up a big hill, then there are around 35 steps before you get anywhere near your room. The best thing about the holiday was the pub Cheers at the bottom of the hill where you get a good laugh and cheap food but great quality. ”

Venosa Beach Resort & Spa
“ Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Hotel smashing but didn't like what we saw of Altinkum. Have seen much nicer parts of Turkey. However, the hotel offered everything we needed for a week without the need to venture further. Have to say that the hotel's Turkish bath, massage and spa facility in were excellent and sparklingly clean; well worth a visit. ”

Tuntas Hotel
“ This was our second time to the Tuntas Hotel. Food was as bad as the first time, but didn't really matter as it was cheap to eat out. Staff on reception were not nice, inc. the manager, very ignorant, but bar and waiting staff couldn't be faulted. Something should be done about the animation team - not only were they bad entertainers, they were always trying to get money out of the guests, one especially, from asking for tips trying to sell dvds. You expect to get hassled in the street, but not in your hotel. I liked the holiday I had last year in the Tuntas but was very unhappy with it this year. ”

Atlantik Apartments
“ Overall we really enjoyed this holiday and are planning to return later this year. We had a studio apartment - it was basic as Turkey is, but was cleaned and served its purpose well. The kitchen area was adequate, I would have liked an oven as well as a 2 ring burner, all applicances in kitchen area were in full working order. The TV in all rooms were not working, some problem with aerials. I wanted to watch the Grand Prix so Murat arranged for me to watch it at the sister hotel across the road. Bathroom was a good size. Balcony was very small - could just about squeeze two people on it with the chairs and table. The service was excellent, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Altinkum lost power for approx 1/2 hour and Harun brought us coffee to the room. There have been a lot of complaints about staff being lazy and always on Facebook. Yes when the staff are not busy, they do use facebook, but as soon as a customer is there, they are very attentive attending to their needs. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Harun who always went above and beyond. The food was basic, but cheap and plenty of it. Apartment was clean, the cleaner was very friendly and helpful. There were only 2 towels in the room when we arrived, however I spoke to the cleaner who gave us more as and when needed. She was very helpful and friendly, I came back to my room one day to find a flower arrangement on my bed, which she had made. Lets face it, Turkey is a basic country and you get what you pay for. These apartments are very reasonable and good value. The staff at these apartments took the service above and beyond all expectations - they cannot do enough. Will definitely be returning, thank you for a great holiday. ”

Grand Newport Hotel
“ Stayed for one week all inclusive. Upon arrival I was impressed with the look of the place and the rooms were a nice size and clean. From main reception you have to go down stairs to the pool area and then down more to reach your room. Ours was appox 80 steps so you need to be feeling fit! The catering in my opinion was very poor. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very limited choice (especially hot dishes), almost exactly the same every day and the quality was very bad. Same could be said for the drinks. The beer tasted watered down, the spirits were local and hard to get down and the soft drinks were flat. We ended up drinking the imported spirits. The hotel is at the top of a very steep hill and There are two local beaches - Gumbet and Bitez - Gumbet is the lively area with bars and clubs and Bitez more restaurants. Bitez is a 5 minute walk and Gumbet closer to 15 mins. Overall opinion is I would not really recommend and you certainly get what you pay for - cheap! ”

3 S Beach Club
“ Great place to stay clean, well cared for and quiet and staff are very good . The food is basic but very good. Head waiter particularly nice man. One negative point was that even with the hotel was only 20% occupied they wanted to charge an extra 80 TL (more than we paid per night half board) to use room for a few extra hours. Shame it spoilt what would otherwise have been 100% good hotel. The roof terrace at breakfast time was amazing. Not for diabled as there are steps up from last lift stop. ”

Apartments Tropicana Beach
“ Location great. Accommodation very basic, no toaster/grill/microwave/tin or bottle opener. Apartment spacious but dated. Very limited crockery & pans. Without a doubt the staff are helpful and so friendly- more so than anywhere else we have visited The pool is 1.6m deep all around & the steps to enter are dangerous - there are 2 steps but so deep we saw a number of people not realising this and warned them to prevent accidents. The beach is shingle, not sand and quite sharp on your feet and the area is windy. We personally would not return but many have been visiting repeatedly. The Manager, receptionist, Enrice & Hassan excelled themselves, nothing was too much trouble. ”
