Telemachos Hotel
“ hotel has seen better days! furniture in room looked as if it was out of charity shop! showerroom - could do with updating - lights didnt work - man who showed us to the room even noticed but did nothing about them - even though one was broken glass meals - seemed like you were back at school dinners - not much variety - chef tried his best - made a reasonable effort offered a room in the newer part of the complex with air con - for an extra 50 euros - even although the room we had had air con unit!!!! we knew that it would not be great for rating would have meals out - might be more expensive but would better quality ”

Mimosa Oasis Apartments
“ The Oasis is a typical Greek self catering appartment. Quite basic but clean and quiet. The rooms were cleaned and bins emptied every day. The towels and sheets were changed regularly. The position of the rooms is ideal for those wanting a laid back holiday in the sun. Paleo has the most beautiful resort on the island. There is two supermarkets within four minutes and the Oasis taverna next door serves wonderful food. The beaches are rocky on this part of the island but there is a pool bar just off the main road to Paleo just a few minutes walk from Oasis. It is is situated on the sea with a great pool and access to the sea via steps. Most visitors return year and year and they have tried to keep down the prices even with raging inflation. There are lots of inclines and steps so it is not really suitable for tiny children, or those with serious walking difficulties. Lovely friendly people and our 24th trip! ”

Amadeus Hawai Studios & Apartments
“ We arrived at approx 01:00am and the accommodation voucher advised to pick the key up from reception but there wasn't a reception and the bar was locked up and in darkness. I knocked on the door of an apartment that had a light on and eventually a lady came out. She phoned the person with the key to our room and he arrived and took us across the road to some studios that were above the Hawaii restaurant. The studio was ok but the pictures advertised when we booked were of the apartments across the road, not the one we were actually allocated. The studio, number 9, was a good size, beds not that comfy though and the cleaner didn't come in every day so we emptied our own rubbish most of the time. Air con was good value as they do let you leave it on all day and night which was great. With these particular studios you don't get a private balcony more of a terrace as people staying in the studios at the front have to walk along your terrace to get to their rooms. Not much of a view, a half built building and an abandoned Ford Mondeo !!! There is also the aroma from the restaurant as the extractor fan is below the terrace for this room although you can't smell it inside the room just when your sat on the terrace so not too bad. It is a good sun trap if you like the evening sun though !! We didn't use the pool at the apartments across the road as there is a fantastic pool just a little further down the road at Sandra's. ”

Alkionis
“ This hotel currently mainly caters for German, Czech & Polish guests. However even though I was travelling solo and the only Brit staying there I got on well with the other guests in the main. The management & staff are worth a special mention as they will try to cater for your every need. Stayed all inclusive and the buffet style breakfast & dinner taken at the Alkionis maybe won't suit every English palate but there's plenty of variety. Lunch is taken at the sister hotel, the Albatross 250m down the road near the beach, food here as above. Enjoyed my stay and would re-visit. ”

Sun Apartments
“ overall our stay was great. One major problem though was that when we arrived late at night there was not anybody to meet us or show us to our accommodation. It took us 20 minutes to find someone to help us. The surroundings are lovely and the pool is really good with a small jacuzzi pool too. A real shame that the apartments pool bar was not open though. All the staff we came in contact with were great. Some of the other guests were a bit noisy at times but to be expected I suppose. ”

Mega Idri
“ The location is good, a bit of a walk for everything but we knew & accepted that the rooms are basic but okay - just. Let down by simple things that could easily be remedied like lack of drinking glasses & decent corkscrew. The owner ruined what should have been a simple but good holiday. He is a moody, inconsistent ogre who obviously has a set of rules in his head (different ones for each set of guests) but he does not publish them - you have to guess what rules apply to you today! After the first couple of days we thought we had found a good simple location that we would revisit. However this man makes any repeat business impossibility. The transfer was outrageous - on the way out the driver admitteded he did not have a clue where our accommadation was; On the return we passed our accomodation - 45 minutes after been picked up - OVER 3 HOURS FOR A 35 KM JOURNEY!! ”

Amalia Apartments Corfu
“ Appartment facilities were basic but manageable. air con available but at a charge of 5 euros per night. reasonably sized appartments with balconies overlooking the pool, balconies shared between two appartments. Pool was a very adequate size for the amount of appartments, and plenty of sunbeds always available, (ask at the bar for a cushion for the loungers for a bit more comfort). Location is fantastic, with less than a 5 minute flat walk to the main street, tavernas, shops and harbour. As we had a late flight we were offered to keep our appartment until we were ready to leave for a small charge, so we were able to use it all day and evening meaning we had a safe place to leave our cases and shower before leaving. The only downside was the large party that arrived half way through the trip who unfortunately were a little noisy and inconsiderate to others in the appartments, however this was not a fault of the amalia appartments, just bad timing I guess. Prior to their arrival the appartments had been very relaxing and peaceful, with a mix of families, and more mature clientelle. No entertainment at the appartments but there is a pool bar which also serves food (we did not eat at the bar so cannot rate the catering) and plenty to occupy near by. Don't miss Costa's Bar on the main street for a great night with reasonably priced drinks and good entertainment (greek dancing etc), and the hypnotist on saturday nights at lime lounge is worth a visit. Sandy beach at Kalamaki is also worth a visit, beautifully clear shallow waters, and you can take a boat trip there with cosmic on wednesdays to include a beach barbeque which is good value. Probably not the best resort for young people looking for lively night life, but for those wishing a relaxing break with reasonable entertainment it's perfect. ”

Roda Garden Village Hotel
“ for an avarage star hotel we found it absolutely brilliant, food was nice and labled to say what it was, snack bar could do with a better selection of food during the day time.for disabled people it does require ramps at reception area and by the bar area also by the pool but most of all we all had a brillint time but you do need to protect your self aganst mosquitos at night time. ”

Mareblue Beach Resort
“ We enjoyed our stay but feel that the hotel was not ready to recieve visitors when we arrived they was very short of staff on the bars and also in the restaurant with not enough staff to replenish the food and people having to stand around for quite a while. They improved over the 2 weeks and by the time we left they seem to have got their act together. The entertainment team was not very good but this did not stop us from enjoying ourselves. The pool area became very congested during daytime and this was not during the school holidays so i expect it would have been worse when there was a lot of children around but the beach was lovely ”
