Royal Grand Azure
“ Fabulous Hotel - very large but not at all cramped - exactly like the brochure pictures. Staff so keen to please and really friendly. The grounds were beautiful and didn't see ANY rubbish at all during stay - staff constantly cleaning and taking pride in their work. Rooms very spacious and modern with marble bathrooms - bed was huge! Beach amazing - sea was too rough and cold to swim in but would be super in warmer months. Loads of sun beds and great snack bar for light lunches. Amazing array of food options - something for everyone - the main Zodiac Restaurant was superb with food beatifully displayed especially deserts. 10 / 10 - Can't wait to returm!! ”

Royal Plaza Hotel (ex Ramada Plaza)
“ The Hotel is Fabulous, The Staff are Fantastic, The Food is Typical Egyptian Fayre and the Annimation Team (Entertainment Team) are useless. However overall it was great value for money and is a stones throw from the heart of Naarma Bay. My Wife is disabled and is wheelchar bound, around the hotel we had no problems with accesability to all facilities and there are a mumber of lifts situated around the hotel, however once out of the hotel, it is very difficult for anyone either in a wheelchair or infirm of foot to get around due to the condition an the height of the pavements. Overall though we had a great time. ”

“ We had a great stay at the Martim would recommend this hotel!By far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything was 5* quality. The room was especially good! The food was good but could cater for the English a little bit more! We had one night for free at the la carte Italian restaurant which was beautiful! Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at the hotel!! So much so were looking at booking again in December! I would also recommend swimming with dolphins an unforgettable And priceless experience! ”

Sunrise Island View Resort
“ Could not fault the grounds, they are lovely and well maintained, as are the pools. As other people say, the rooms were a bit dated and ours was cleaned very well every day, but when we were moved to another room for a few hours because we could not keep ours on when leaving, the bathroom needed regrouting and bath and around shower needed a good scrubbing (silicone stained and mouldy). It was hard to find anything good to eat unless we lived on eggs omelettes and scrambled eggs. Meats were fatty, chicken full of bones, lots of vegetables and salads if you like that sort of thing. A lot of returning customers said this is their last time here. It was a lot better in the past. Entertainment the usual rubbish that you get abroad. The 2 restaurants were nice to eat at. For nightlife you have to go into Naama bay. Soho square is 2 minutes walk away, it is attractive cafe bars and restaurants and shop, a bit expensive. If food was better in the Sunrise and rooms updated and better shows, this could be a top place. Staff and groundsmen were very nice, service for drinks very slow and most of the time not cold. If you can work around these problems by spending your money going out to drink and eat of an evening you will enjoy this place. I have only pointed out the faults that we came across you will find people who might have enjoyed every bit of it, like they say you don't know unless you try it. ”

Amarante Garden Palms
“ A very basic hotel in need a major refurbishment around the pool areas. The only good service was from the staff on reception, anything to do with drinks or food was poor and the staff were miserable. The only drinks that could be ordered in the evenings was in the lobby of the hotel which had no air conditioning and a sour stench of cigarettes. In addition the cleaning staff found us every single day of the holiday to let us know what a great job that had done cleaning the room... very annoying. ”

Domina Coral Bay Aquamarine Pool
“ I found the hotel staff helpful when they could be throughout my stay. I was unfortunately disappointed with the all inclusive food and beverages. Even when attempting to pay for better quality this was rarely available in the pool areas or bars where all inclusive items are dispensed this was not possible. The hotel taxi was also a complete rip off as while visiting another hotel I discovered I should have paid half the price for the same journey in a better quality vehicle. For some obscure reason the hotel has its own timezone which caused quite ammusing confusion for everyone that has to deal with the outside world including the rep. Other than the above points my stay was enjoyable and I was pleased with the hotel. ”

“ Just got back from a week at the Amerante, 1st - 8th Jan. Had a great time even though there were protests in Cairo, it didn't affect our holiday. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough, even though they had there own worries! Hotel is what it is - a good value holiday hotel. Location is a 20 min walk or 30 Egyptian (£3) fom the main area of Na'ama bay. Loved it so much that we plan to return in October for longer. Dont let the situation in Egypt put you off. - Enjoy the Charm of Sharm! ”

Park Inn by Radisson & Aquapark
“ The best holiday I have had in a long time, the service was faultless & the people were as friendly as you could hope for, the facilities were first class & I would highly recommend to friends. Good value & the cuisine was excellent with a vast choice that caters for everyone needs, the pools & aquapark were clean & well maintained throughout the day. I will be going back there to enjoy another great break in the future. ”

Falcon Naama Star Hotel
“ Staying at the hotel for 10 days, I call it the "Hotel from Hell". Constant music blasting out from morning until 11.30-12pm, then the building work, which overlooks around the hotel. Not enough room around pool for all the guests, that is if you can stand the loud music and building work. Could not relax. Hassle just to get a cup of tea i.e running out of teabags, sugar, milk and most of time water not hot enough. We only had breakfast, which was okay. Room not very clean. Staff very money orientated. Didn't get our room cleaned for last two days. Layout of hotel not good i.e bar, reception all in one. Oh! and swinning pool freezing and spa not working. ”

“ 5 Star? More like 3 star and struggling to make that. Food was awful, the constant loud music at the pools, on the beach, everywhere, all day and all night! Full of arrogant, ignorant, drunken Russian guests who the staff were even complaining about. Even got accused of damaging the room when it was in that state when we arrived. If you do stay, make an inventory of all problems and report it immediately. ”

Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort
“ First impressions were very good. The reception area was stunning. The staff couldn't have been more polite, nothing was to much trouble at anytime. Our room (8602) was very clean but there was some room for improvement. You could see where the sink had been repaired and the curtains were not hung correctly. Some would say that's being picky but remember this is classed as a 5 star hotel. There was a large choice of different foods and plenty of it at breakfast, should cater for all tastes. The pool area was very clean and well kept. The only slightly annoying thing about the pool area was when hotel employees came round trying to sell other services they provided, when we just wanted to relax. The private beach area is very clean and there are plenty of sun beds to go round. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to "the old market" and "Na'ama bay" at very reasonable prices but you do have to get in early, only limited seats available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of staying there, you will not be disappointed. ”

Iberotel IL Mercato Hotel
“ I would certainly recommend this hotel, the staff were very friendly and efficient in all areas. Our room was cleaned every day, was to a very good standard i.e. air conditioning, tea/coffee, hair dryer, TV and everything worked, there was always plenty of loungers at the pool with a very good towel service. The food was very acceptable, buffet style with a different theme every night with excellent waiter service. There was different entertainment available every night but this did not affect our wish to enjoy peace and quiet. ”

“ It was a very nice place - and the staff were very friendly. I would like to comment on the fact that we always felt very safe and there was never any suspicion of untrustworthy staff. The place was clean and the rooms spacious. The room was cleaned daily and the staff polite. We had B&B although we didn't eat at the restaurant very often but on the last day we discovered an omelette bar tucked away in the corner, which also made pancakes! The spa on the resort was very pleasant. Although quite basic it was very clean and the staff were very professional. I would highly recommend the body massages for both male and female. ”

Falcon Inn Viva
“ This was my family's first holiday to Egypt and we were really looking forward to it. The room in general was very dated with a cupboard hanging off the hinges and the fridge and TV were obviously old and needed replacing. We were all inclusive but there was not a good selection of drinks and no cocktails, my 9 year old son was given a 'special cocktail', which I had to pay for - this only happened once. There was a moon night where, for £15 each, we got a mixed grill and free drink, but as we were all inclusive we refused to do it. The food needs improving and more choice. There was a 3-man entertainment team but I'm not sure what they were doing all day. There was a DJ who sat there all day with songs on a loop, it felt like Groundhog day most days round the pool. The pool was very deep and the tiles around it made it very slippy. The photos shown online must have been taken years ago because it did not bear much resemblance to the hotel now. To top it off, I had my MP3 player stolen out of my room. The only positive I can find are the staff who were very friendly and helpful, I hope this hotel can improve for them. ”

Baron Resort Sharm El Sheikh
“ I suppose I could be critical and point out a few things that could be improved upon, and certain service issues, however I believe in the 80/20 theory, if 80% is ok, that's a good guideline to aim for. Go all inclusive - Premium Plus, it's worth it. Fabulous setting and grounds, 6 restaurants, and various bars. My favourite have a drink in the lounge/lobby bar and they have a pianist every night, wonderful, felt like poirot was going to walk in any moment. If you want a special place to go to, try this place, it's great. ”
