Akteon Holiday Village
“ I have travelled quite extensively throughout 5 of the 6 continents, and stayed at many places including a missionary Church in Mwanza, Tanzania as well as the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. This is by far the WORST place I have ever stayed at. The rooms were filthy. For example, we had hair in our bed the night we checked in. The receptionist, gave us a sheet and said, that WE should change it. The next morning we noticed an ant infectation in our kitchen. The cleaner promptly sprayed in and left the dead cadavres in our room for 5 days. ”

Daphne Hotel Apartments
“ Had a great time at these apartments!! They are in a great location with the largest supermarket, the harbour and bar st all being on its door step. All the staff were very friendly and we had no problems. The rooms are good value for money and you definately get what you pay for. The only downside was that there is not enough sun loungers by the pool but provided you get up in time and reserve yourself one it was never a issue. It was also nice that the people staying at this hotel were not all British and it was a nice mix of people from all over. Would definately stay here again when returning to Cyprus. ”

St George Spa Hotel and Golf Resort
“ Just returned from a glorious week at the St George hotel, Paphos, Cyprus, as always the hotel was great. The pool was clean and warm, the hot Cypriot sun also helped. Have been 3 times to this hotel and would certainly go again. ”

Sunny Hill Hotel Apartments
“ Accommodation excellent - recently refurbished and very clean. Lovely views of the sea. Can be a little noisy, but good quality double glazing eliminates most of the traffic noise. Staff very helpful and available at all times. Would be useful to have an iron and ironing board, also a broom to sweep up as it can get dusty - otherwise ok. ”

Hotel Venus Beach
“ Stayed end of April for a week which was a little bit early in season, it was very very quiet, no entertainment in hotel except an odd game of bingo and quiz. Staff was very nice, chatty and helpful. Food was ok, not very much choice, didn't really cater much for children. Hotel not really a 5 star as indicated 4 star at most. Rooms cleaned every day. Hotel a little bit out of Paphos but there are buses running regularly for 1 euro. ”

Hotel Agapinor
“ Couple, stayed March/April 2011 You get what you pay for !!! All in all good value, a bit out of the way from harbour and entertainment centres. The local bus services are excellent but didn't run in the evenings until April. The food in the hotel left a bit to be desired. ”

Capital Coast Resort and Spa Hotel
“ This hotel has some excellent facilities which most guests failed to notice as they are located below ground. The indoor pool is large, but a little cool and virtually unused (even in February when the outdoor pools were closed). The gym, saunas and dip pools are a high standard and also hardly used. The health spa staff were great, massages best we\\'ve had. The restaurant has a good range of food served buffet style - the fish is particularly good - and first rate staff. However, the reception staff were a different story depending who was on duty. We had booked a studio apartment which was OK except had no views so asked for an upgrade to one of the many empty suites. We were never able to contact the manager who was "not available" so never upgraded. The reception either failed to pass messages to him or he ignored them. The hotel location is 3km north of Paphos, but has a frequent and very cheap bus service (2 euros a day, but ends at 6.30 pm). There is not a sandy beach in the vicinity. Families with young children wanting activities may find this hotel offers limited options. Holiday makers mostly couples, some families and only from UK, Russia, Greece/Cyprus. Peaceful. ”

Mayfair Hotel
“ Great value for money. The apartment was very clean and spacious with good A/C, which we were not charged extra for, as in some hotels. The pools were great, with plenty of loungers and parasols for shade. Good location with supermarket very nearby and 20 min walk to main drag and lovely harbour area. We were S/C so can't really comment on the food, although our friends who were half board said it was very good. Would thoroughly recommend this for a family holiday. ”

Aparthotel Mayfair Super Deal
“ The Mayfair is essentially a good hotel, reasonably well located in Paphos with cheap, decent-sized rooms. It is, however, let down by its policy of continuously blasting the pool area with inane pop music, making it very hard to concentrate on reading a book, listing to one's own music on headphones, or pretty much anything else. In fairness, when asked to turn the music down, the 'entertainers' generally obliged, but only to try to surreptitiously increase the volume again between songs. Irritating. ”

Corallia Beach (Aparthotel)
“ This hotel is basic but very clean and the location is out of this world. Very quiet and beautiful with its own beach and beautifully manicured gardens. We stayed self catering, which I would recommend, as the food in this hotel was not great. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. There is one other downside and that is the aircon was really loud, but we didn't really use it that much because in May the night time cools down. I read lots of bad reviews on this hotel and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We are a new family and found this hotel most satisfactory. We stayed at the beginning of May and it was hot!!! Be warned this island really heats up. ”

Akteon Tourist Village
“ We had a fantastic holiday at the Akteon. The rooms were very basically furnished and dated but you could not fault the cleanliness. The beds were not very comfortable. The staff, particularly the Bar Manager and the Entertainment team, made a good holiday unforgettable. They were so helpful and enthusiastic. Food was mass catering and would have liked to have seen some fruit other than tinned pears and peaches and apples, bananas and oranges every day. We would go back given the choice though. ”
