New Zealand's most famous delicacies are lamb and kiwi fruits. The Maori traditional feast comprises of a combination of sweet potato, lamb, chicken, wild game, pork, beef and potato. A hole is dug in the ground and lined with stones, then covered with vegetation. The food is laid on top and sprinkled with water then covered with earth and vegetation.
