Igbo Culture
Igbo Art
The earliest surviving Igbo art forms are from the 10th century. The fine quality of copper alloy castings they used suggests that Igbo society had already achieved a level of technology rivalling contemporary Europeans.
Igbo Music and Dance
Traditional Nigerian Juju music relied on the guitar, banjo and ukelele.
Igbo Food and Drink
Some of the best Nigerian food is to be found at roadside stalls called 'Buka'. Spicey peppery stew, fried yams and goat are all popular Nigerian dishes.
Nigerians enjoy a glass of palm wine, a natural juice from palm trees which is popular all over Nigeria, especially in the South where these trees grow wild.
Igbo Attractions
Once the capital of Nigeria, Lagos is a sprawling, crowded city with a reputation for crime and poverty. With more night-clubs than any other West African city, Lagos is also famous for its live music scene. The heart of Lagos is Lagos Island where all the major banks, department stores and restaurants can be found.
Yankari National Park has Nigeia's best nature reserve and holds the last of Nigeria's wildlife. On an eventful day it's possible to see elephant, waterbuck, hippo, crocodile and the occasional lion. The other feature of interest in the park is the thermal Wikki Warm Spring.

"I bought your Learn Malay CD today - I've only just begun, but I wanted to say how much I am enjoying it. I studied Malay from a book all day yesterday, making some 25 pages of notes on grammar and vocab, but I remember more from your CD from just an hour!" - James Bryce
