Kas – located in south west Turkey

Kas has something for everyone. Many younger people enjoy the resort because of its nightlife and couples and families enjoy it because of the peacefulness that the day brings. Kas has a transfer time of 2 and a half to 3 hours from Dalaman Airport. This may seem like a long time, however you will have plenty of time to see the scenery of Turkey on your journey, as well as get an understanding for the location of your resort and the location of your accommodation within the resort. Nearby Kapitas has a brilliant beach with sunbeds and parasols available. There are large hotels in Kas that have all-inclusive and half-board options. You will also find all of the facilities that you need in them.

Kas – plenty to keep you occupied

There is plenty for you to do near the water in Kas. The yacht trips enable you to see a lot of scenery and even possibly get into the water. A popular activity is the glass-bottomed boat tour. You can see all of the marine life and wreckage as you travel along. A very popular activity is scuba diving. You can do this with full instruction and hire the equipment from a professional diving centre. Visiting the beaches nearby is popular as you can spend the day relaxing, going into the water or trying water sports. There is plenty of sightseeing to do both in and around Kas. You can go and visit the ancient sites of Xanthos and Letoon or even go to the Pamukkale thermal springs. There are also plenty of boat trips to go on where you may be able to get into the water.

Kas – plenty of local cuisine to enjoy

There are plenty of fish restaurants to enjoy in Kas. Many of the local restaurants also offer local dishes which are highly recommended. There is some international cuisine such as Italian, however there is not much. There is a choice of bars and nightclubs for you to enjoy. There is live music, entertainment, karaoke, cocktails and DJ\'s. There is even an open air disco to enjoy. During the summer months, you will also find many parties held along the harbour. You will be able to find any souvenirs in Kas as there are many tourist shops. There are regular buses available in Kas. They will take you into other resorts such as Fethiye or Antalya. The buses tend to be quite cheap, however you can also use the option of a taxi which is equally cheap. There are also frequent boat trips into other areas.

Kas – hot summers and mild winters

The summer in Kas is very hot with temperatures in August hitting 35°C. You will also see over 13 hours a day of pure sunshine. January and February tend to be the coldest months, however temperatures can still reach above 15°C. There are over 320 days of pure sunshine a year in Kas making it one of the most popular destinations to visit. The water tends to be very warm as well making the beach an even more popular place to go during the day. It also makes water sports a lot more enjoyable. From June until September, you are highly unlikely to see any rain in the resort. From December to February you will have around 5 hours of sunshine a day, however it can still be quite warm. There may be the odd shower but it does not often rain in Kas.
