Hisaronu is a brilliant resort for couples and families. Many younger people do visit the resort as well for the nightlife in the summer months. The transfer time for this resort is anything from an hour and a half to 2 hours. This gives you plenty of time to look at the scenery that the Dalaman area has to offer, as well as getting an understanding of the location of your resort and your accommodation within your resort. The nearest beach is in Olu Deniz and is very attractive with pale sands leading down to the gorgeous blue waters. There are plenty of hotels for you to choose from in Hisaronu both in the centre of the resort and on the outskirts of the towns. Most of the hotels are 3-star however you will also find some budget options. There are also a few self-catering apartments for you to choose from.
Hisaronu is full of activities for you to try. If you travel to Olu Deniz beach then you will find a wide variety of water sports to try. These include scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, surfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, canoeing, parasailing, sailing and even fishing. There are also many boat trips to other resorts and islands that you can enjoy. If you would rather stay away from the water, then why not try horse-riding which is a brilliant activity for people of all ages and is also a great way to get around the resort. There are many scenic walks to go on, as well as jeep safaris where you are likely to see a lot. If you'd prefer something more active then why not try mountain biking or hiking followed by some time at the Turkish baths where you can receive treatments such as massages. If you enjoy excursions, then why not go and see Turtle Beach in Dalyan, or take a day trip to Rhodes or Fethiye for sightseeing and shopping.
You will find a wide range of quality cuisines in Hisaronu. Obviously, there is a lot of Turkish cuisine for you to enjoy as well as a lot of food. If this is not to your taste then you can try one of the other brilliant cuisines such as Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Italian or British. There are also some fast food places for you to enjoy. There are plenty of lively bars to enjoy. Many of them have British themes and lively atmospheres with some brilliant entertainment and music to enjoy. You will also find karaoke bars, foam parties and discos. During the summer months there is also a lot of traditional dancing going on in the hotels. There are plenty of shops for you to enjoy, such as jewellery stores, shoe shops and clothing stores. You will also find many sweet shops and craft shops to enjoy. A local market is held every Monday and the supermarkets tend to stock British goods. There are frequent and reliable bus services that travel to other resorts such as Fethiye and Olu Deniz. There are also many taxis available, especially near the larger hotels and cars, mopeds and bicycles can all be hired locally.
Hisaronu sees some brilliantly hot and dry summers with mild winters. May to October seems to be the most popular time for tourists to visit the resort as there is an average temperature of 26°C. May and June offer comfortable temperatures between 19°C and 23°C so this is probably the best time to visit if you do not like it too hot. It also makes it a lot easier to go exploring. July and August give temperatures above 30°C and you will see around 13 hours of pure sunshine a day. Water temperatures are also high at around 25°C making the sea perfect for water sports. The average winter temperature in Hisaronu is 14°C. You will still have around 5-6 hours of sunshine a day, however the temperature tends to drop to around 12-15°C. Most of the rain falls in December and January with around 1000mm of rain.
