Dalyan - Located inland from Turkey's West coast

Dalyan is the perfect resort for couples, singles and families to spend their holiday. The transfer time for this resort is around 25-30 minutes meaning that you get to spend plenty of time in Dalyan itself. The nearest beach to Dalyan is Iztuzu. It is a very long beach, covered with pale sands. It is a very popular beach with Turtles when it comes to laying their eggs. You will find everything from budget hotels to 4-star hotels to apartments in Dalyan. You will find half-board, all-inclusive and self-catering options in Dalyan which is good because you have lots of options.

Dalyan – plenty of sightseeing to try

There are many river boat trips for you to go on. You can see other resorts, other islands and experience a wider variety of history and culture. The mud baths located in Dalyan are very popular with tourists. You can enjoy a river ride, followed by a dip in the mad baths then onto the hot springs. Water sports are available, such as windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving and snorkelling. If this isn\'t enough, then why not try one of the many adventure sports on offer. You will be able to try white water rafting, climbing and hiking. Jeep safaris, mountain biking and horse-riding are all very popular and great ways to get some amazing view from different areas. There are also excursions for you to go on, such as taking trips to ancient cities and other resorts.

Dalyan – good choice of restaurants to sample

There is a wide choice of restaurants to choose from in Dalyan with a lot of European cuisine on offer. You will find a lot of Turkish cuisine as well as seafood, British and Spanish foods. The nightlife in Dalyan is generally low key with a few bars and entertainment in hotels. Nothing is open until the early hours of the morning like other resorts. You will find many crafts in the shops in Dalyan as well as a lot of souvenir shops for you to find things to take back home. There is a regular minibus that takes you to the beach and to resorts such as Dalaman. There are also regular buses that take you to various resorts and boat trips taking you along the coast and to other islands.

Dalyan – a typically Mediterranean climate

Dalyan sees some brilliantly hot and dry summers with mild winters. May to October seems to be the most popular time for tourists to visit the resort as there is an average temperature of 26°C. May and June offer comfortable temperatures between 19°C and 23°C so this is probably the best time to visit if you do not like it too hot. It also makes it a lot easier to go exploring. July and August give temperatures above 30°C and you will see around 13 hours of pure sunshine a day. Water temperatures are also high at around 25°C making the sea perfect for water sports. The average winter temperature in Dalyan is 14°C. You will still have around 5-6 hours of sunshine a day, however the temperature tends to drop to around 12-15°C. Most of the rain falls in December and January with around 1000mm of rain.
