Valencia - Located along Spain's Mediterranean East coast

There are also many festivals that see people dancing and singing. There is even a Planetarium and an IMAX cinema. If you enjoy going on excursions, then why not try Albuferia National Park, Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante or Benidorm.

Valencia – wide selection of restaurants

There is a wide selection of restaurants to choose from in Valencia. You will find a lot of seafood on offer for you to enjoy, as well as other a la carte menus. There are a lot of other cuisines on offer, such as Chinese, British, American style, Indian and Italian. The restaurants tend to be very busy from 10pm onwards. The nightlife of Valencia is very lively, with many bars and nightclubs. There are also a lot of street celebrations and fireworks displays occur frequently. There are plenty of places for you to go shopping, with department stores, clothing shops, jewellery, souvenirs and leather goods on offer. You will also find a market held on Sunday mornings. The public transport in Valencia is reliable and frequent. There is a good bus service available as well as a tram system. Taxis can be found outside many hotels but check the meter. Trains are also available and take you to Madrid, Alicante and Barcelona.

Valencia – typical Mediterranean climate

Valencia has some brilliant summer weather. It is hot but not too humid and winters are warm in the day and cooler in the evenings. Most of the rain falls between October and December, however there are only around 44 days where rain does occur. Summer in Valencia is hot throughout the day with clear blue skies. July and August are the warmest months in Valencia, with the average temperature being around 28C. January appears to be the coldest month with a maximum temperature of 15°C and a minimum temperature of 5°C. The coldest temperature in July is 20°C so you can see that Valencia is a warm place to be.
