Santa Susanna - Located in North-East Spain

Santa Susanna is popular with families although the railway needs to be avoided or approached with caution as it is only protected by a low barrier. Couples also enjoy the fairly lively resort. The transfer time for the resort is around one hour and 15 minutes. This means that you have plenty of time to look around the resort and take in your surroundings. It is also good for you as it means that you can get your bearings and have more of an understanding for the location of the resort. The beach is home to a long stretch of sand that is fine and golden. Sunbeds and parasols are available at the beach, however it is important to get there early otherwise you are likely to miss your chance. There are mainly 3-star hotels and apartments in the resort which all offer a number of facilities to suit your needs.

Santa Susanna – plenty to see and do

There are plenty of water sports for you to try if you wish such as windsurfing, snorkelling, scuba diving and water skiing. You can also go and explore the old town of Santa Susanna or try out one of the fiestas held in the resort. There are plenty of excursions that you can go on that will take you to water parks, golf courses, Port Aventura theme park and shopping or sightseeing around other resorts. There is a Shakespeare festival that takes place in July, as well as a fiesta in August that honours St Susanna.

Santa Susanna – plenty of places to eat and drink

Santa Susanna is home to many restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines. You are likely to find, Chinese, Italian, British, Mexican and seafood. You will also find a lot of fast food, especially along the seafront. The nightlife is fairly lively although it is easy to find a relaxing place to go. There are a few nightclubs, but too many and you will also find many bars along the seafront. They offer cocktails, karaoke and other forms of entertainment. There are many little crafts available in Santa Susanna, as well as clothing, jewellery and souvenirs. You will also find produce sold at the market on Tuesday mornings. Public transport in Santa Susanna is very good with a regular bus service taking you to and from other resorts as well as going around this resort. You will also find trains taking you into Barcelona and a few other resorts every 30 minutes and boat trips into other resorts daily.

Santa Susanna – summer weather all year round

Summers in Santa Susanna are very popular as they are so warm. Temperatures have been know to reach 40°C although they are normally around 30°C. There are clear blue skies to enjoy and cool breezes that help to keep you comfortable both day and night. July and August see the best weather with around 11 hours of sunshine a day. If there is rain in the summer then it is over and cleared about in a few hours so you can get back to sunbathing again afterwards. Winters in Santa Susanna are very mild and the minimum temperature is only 12°C. Most of the time, there are very sunny skies, however there is a higher chance of rainfall. The most rain falls in January, however you are still likely to see around 5 hours of sunshine a day.
