Port Aventura - Spain's best known theme park

Port Aventura is perfect for families and couples looking for an enjoyable time away. Port Aventura is huge and covers over one million square metres of land. There is plenty for you to choose from, starting with themed hotels. Plenty of entertainment takes places in the hotels. Holidays in Port Aventura mean that you benefit from being in the heart of the theme park. Port Aventura has its own section of beach, however you can also get transport to nearby Salou to relax on the beaches there. Port Aventura is near La Pineda, Salou and Cambrils, meaning you have a 10 mile beach resort nearby.

Port Aventura – plenty to keep you occupied

The theme park itself is enough to keep you occupied. There are rides in five different sections of the park. All sections are themed and are called, the Mediterrania, Polynesia, China, Mexico and the Far West. You will find shops, water rides, lakes, roller coasters, and various shows put on in each section. Port Aventura\'s Caribe Aquatic Park is also a must-see. You will find wave pools, a water slide, swimming pools and even saunas and jacuzzis. There are also various other things. Take a trip to Barcelona for shopping, restaurants and more nightlife. There is plenty of sightseeing that you can do such as visiting Roman rooms and museums.

Port Aventura – plenty of places to eat and drink

There are restaurants available in Port Aventura. Some offer an À la carte menus, while others offer a self-service and buffet. You will find seafood, Italian food, Mexican food, American style grills, as well as many other options. Take a trip to Salou for an amazing range of nightlife. There are clubs, bars, cafés, pubs, discos and music bars to keep you entertained until the early hours of the morning. The shops in Port Aventura are full of souvenirs, clothing, and photos of you on some of the rides. The public transport in the resort is brilliant with buses and taxis taking you to various other resorts. The taxis are relatively cheap and run 24 hours a day whereas the buses stop running early evening.

Port Aventura – pleasant, warm weather all year round

Port Aventura enjoys a Mediterranean climate with an average summer temperature of 28°C. During July, you will see at least 10 hours of sunshine a day, however as this resort is sheltered by mountains, it does not get too hot. There is very little rain in spring and summer in Port Aventura. The wettest months tend to be September and October. The average temperatures in September and October are 25°C and 21°C. The spring months of April and May see temperatures of 18°C and 21°C. The resort is typically Mediterranean and sees a lot of sunshine, however it is pleasantly warm and not too warm.
