Playa De Aro Resort Guide

Playa de Aro - Located in North-East Spain

Playa de Aro is perfect for couples and families. Young children are well catered for with amusement parks and water parks. Transfer time is only around 30 minutes meaning you have plenty of time in the actual resort. The transfer also enables you to take a look at your surroundings and take in the location of the resort. The main beach in Playa de Aro is known as Platja Gran and is very popular with both tourists and locals. It has one mile of fine sands and blue waters. You will find plenty of parasols and sunbeds although be sure that you get there early in the summer months if you want to get one. There are many 2-3-star hotels in Playa de Aro which offer many facilities to cater to everyone. You will find that many of the hotels are in the centre of the town so you do not have to travel too far. There are a few apartments, however you will find that many of these are privately owned and you would have to contact the owners if you wanted to rent one.

Playa de Aro – plenty of beach activities to keep you occupied

For all of those people who enjoy water sports, Playa de Aro is the place to be. The beach is home to plenty of water sports such as windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, water-skiing and jet-skiing. If this is not enough for you then why not hire a boat or even a pedallo. There are are amusement parks in the resort, including a water park. If you are a golf enthusiast then try one of the first class golf courses. There is plenty more for children to try such as bowling, funfair\'s and even a trip to the cinema. There are plenty of boat trips available taking you into other resorts as well.

Playa de Aro – plenty of places to eat and drink

There are many cuisines for you to try in one of the many restaurants in Playa de Aro. Everyone is catered for with cuisines such as Italian, Chinese, British, Spanish and Mexican. You will also find a lot of fast food places, as well as many ice-cream stands. There are plenty of bars and clubs offering a variety of themes as well as karaoke and cocktails. Hotels are also likely to put on some entertainment. If you want to keep the children entertained, then take them to the amusement parks. There is a wide selection of shops in Playa de Aro with leather, souvenirs, clothing, shoes, bags and technological goods such as cameras. The public transport in Playa de Aro is very good with regular buses taking you around the resort and into other resorts. You will also find many taxis at the taxi rank which charge reasonable rates. If you feel like being slightly more independent, then try hiring a bike, car or scooter.

Playa de Aro – brilliant weather all year round

Summers in Playa de Aro are very popular as they are so warm. Temperatures have been know to reach 40°C although they are normally around 30°C. There are clear blue skies to enjoy and cool breezes that help to keep you comfortable both day and night. July and August see the best weather with around 11 hours of sunshine a day. If there is rain in the summer then it is over and cleared about in a few hours so you can get back to sunbathing again afterwards. Winters in Playa de Aro are very mild and the minimum temperature is only 12°C. Most of the time, there are very sunny skies, however there is a higher chance of rainfall. The most rain falls in January, however you are still likely to see around 5 hours of sunshine a day.
