Moraira - Located between Calpe and Javea

Moraira is a quiet, relaxing resort that is perfect for families seeking quality time together. The transfer time into the resort is around one hour and 20 minutes. The beaches of Moraira are full of fine, golden sands and clear waters. The beaches have even been awarded the European Blue Flag for their cleanliness. The main beach is L\'Ampolla, however this can get very busy and crowded at times. There are other local beaches which are less crowded and very quiet, making them perfect for relaxing. You will find both villas and hotels in Moraira which are very popular. Many of the villas are perfect for large families and groups of friends and some of them even have private swimming pools for each villa. The hotels offer everything from half-board to all-inclusive and the villas offer self catering.

Moraira – plenty to see and do

There are plenty of activities for you to enjoy in Moraira. Water sports are very popular and you have the chance to take park in windsurfing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, scuba diving and snorkelling. Other activities include tennis, fishing, walking and horse-riding. Walking and horse-riding are perfect for getting around the resort and seeing the local scenery. Golf is a very popular activity in Moraira, with a fine, large course located in the resort. There are also excursions to try such as riding on a glass-bottomed boat, going to Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, Mundomar the animal water park and the safari park.

Moraira – plenty of facilities by the main beach

Moraira is home to plenty of bars and restaurants offering relaxed atmospheres. There are many cuisines on offer from many of the restaurants, such as seafood, Chinese, Italian, British, Spanish and Mediterranean. The bars offer a calm and quiet evening with many of the hotels offering evening entertainment. There are shops in Moraira offering souvenirs, clothing and jewellery. The public transport is good, with many buses taking you around the resort and cheap prices. Taxis are also very reasonably priced and can be found throughout the resort.

Moraira – beautiful summer weather

Summers in Moraira are very popular as they are so warm. Temperatures have been know to reach 40°C although they are normally around 30°C. There are clear blue skies to enjoy and cool breezes that help to keep you comfortable both day and night. July and August see the best weather with around 11 hours of sunshine a day. If there is rain in the summer then it is over and cleared about in a few hours so you can get back to sunbathing again afterwards. Winters in Moraira are very mild and the minimum temperature is only 12°C. Most of the time, there are very sunny skies, however there is a higher chance of rainfall. The most rain falls in January, however you are still likely to see around 5 hours of sunshine a day.
