Mojacar is a popular resort with couples and families who are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. There is however, plenty for the tourists to do. The transfer time into Mojacar is around 50 minutes meaning you have plenty of time to take in the location of the resort and look at the surrounding scenery. The beach in Mojacar is very popular with tourists, with golden sands and gorgeous blue waters. During the day, there is plenty of scenery for you to go and look at around the resort. There are many deserted beaches for you to admire as well as ancient cave paintings. There are also many small white houses hat can be found down maze-like lanes. There are many cliff top walks to go on if you are the sort of person that enjoys the scenery. If you prefer a bit more action, then there are plenty of water sports for you to try. There is jet-skiing, water-skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving for you to choose from. If you prefer to stay out of the water, then try the 9-hole bowling course, go-karting or even take a trip to the local gymnasium.
Mojacar has many good restaurants offering various cuisines, such as, seafood, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Irish, French, British and Cantonese. There are a few discos along the seafront, however you are likely to find better ones in your accommodation. You will also find many bars along the seafront which offer cocktails, karaoke, live music and themes such as Irish and English. There are many shops offering souvenirs, clothing, shoes, designer clothing, crafts and jewellery. There is a bus service taking you to other resort such as Almeria and you will also find taxis taking you to various places, all at reasonable prices.
Mojacar has brilliant summer weather. June to September offer the best weather in Mojacar, with pure sunshine all day and warm evenings. The temperatures rarely fall below 30°C during the summer months, with the winter months seeing temperatures of at least 16°C. You will have around 12 hours of sunshine a day in the summer and 6 hours in the winter. Mojocar is a popular destination all year round as it is so warm and dry. Any rainfall that does fall is more than likely seen between October and March. There is a slight coastal breeze, so summer temperatures remain bearable.
