Lloret de Mar - Located in North-East Spain

Lloret de Mar is definitely a resort that appeals to the younger generation. Young couples and families enjoy the resort for its lively atmosphere, however you will also find more mature couples in the lower seasons as the resort quietens down. The transfers take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on where you are staying meaning you have plenty of time to take in your surroundings and get a feel for the location of the resort. The main beach of Lloret de Mar is covered in pale, fine sand leading down to the blue waters. The beach has sunbeds and parasols but it does get busy during the peak seasons. There is also a smaller beach which does not get so crowded. There are many beach side bars and Pedalloes can be hired if you want them. The resort has many hotels and range from 1-5-stars. Most hotels are 2-3-stars but if you want something more luxurious then you can find it. There are also some apartments which are further away from the busy centre, which may be ideal if you want a more peaceful nights sleep.

Lloret de Mar – plenty of activities to take part in at the beach

Lloret de Mar is home to many beach activities such as volleyball and water sports. The water sports included are, jet-skiing, water-skiing, rides on a banana boat, snorkelling, scuba diving or hiring a pedallo. If you prefer to stay out of the water, then try your hand at go-karting, bowling, horse-riding, visiting a sports centre, going on a mini train or bungee jumping. There are also many guided walks that you can try. If excursions are something that you are interested in, then why not try the water park, the golf course, sightseeing and shopping in Barcelona, visiting a dolphinarium or even going to the zoo.

Lloret de Mar – plenty of places to go out, eat and drink

Lloret de Mar is home to some fantastic restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines. You are likely to find relaxing music, live singers and possibly dancers in some restaurants. There is a lot of British food available, although you will also find a lot of Spanish, seafood, Chinese, Italian and Mediterranean foods. You will find menus easy to understand as they normally have all languages and all dishes are also pictured. If you are looking for entertainment in the evenings then try your hotels. They have entertainment shows on every night which are ideal for both adults and children. If you would rather go out, then visit one of the many bars or nightclubs. They are open until the early hours of the morning and offer karaoke, live music, top DJ\'s, cocktails, laser shows and plenty of places to go for a dance. There are many souvenir shops in the resort as well as some designer boutiques, jewellery stores and shoe shops. There are buses every 30 minutes into Tossa and another bus that runs hourly taking you into Barcelona. There are also trains services and a local bus that takes you around the resort.

Lloret de Mar – perfect summer weather

The average temperature in Lloret de Mar is around 22°C, however it can reach 30°C during the summer. On average, you will find that you get around 12 hours of sunshine a day during the summer, with this amount halving in the winter. July and August tend to be the hottest months so if you want it a bit milder then it is best to visit in May or June. There is barely any rain in Lloret de Mar, and it mainly falls between September and February, with December being the wettest month. During the autumn, the temperatures tend to be around 21-24°C and in winter they drop to 16°C.
