Denia - Located in Eastern Spain

Denia appeals to families and couples due to its relaxing atmosphere, stunning scenery and beautifully sandy beaches. The transfer time for this airport is around 1 hour and although this may seem like a long time, it actually gives you plenty of time to see all your surroundings and the scenery and take in the location of your resort. Denia is home to 20km of coastline and the beaches are one of the main reasons that people visit the resort. The beaches are home to fine white sands and shimmering blue waters. All of the beaches are also home to the European Blue Flag for their cleanliness. The majority of the accommodation in Denia are hotels ranging from 3-5-stars. You will also find a variety of board basis available from half board to all-inclusive.

Denia – plenty for you to see and do

There are plenty of activities going on in Denia that will keep you occupied all day. You will find a variety of water sports on offer such as sailing, scuba diving, snorkelling, water-skiing, jet-skiing and windsurfing. Fishing is also very popular. If you prefer staying on dry land, then try the 18-hole golf course or go on a bike ride. Many people enjoy just taking walks around the resort as it is very scenic and picturesque and has a gorgeous mountainous background. There is also a lot of sight-seeing to do in one of the many museums and historical buildings. Denia – plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from

Denia is home to many bars and restaurants that offer a lot of entertainment, especially during the summer months. You will find a variety of cuisines on offer such as Chinese, Spanish, Mediterranean, Italian and British. You will also find a lot of seafood, so everyone is truly catered for. There are bars offering live music, shows and cocktails although they are very relaxed compared to the resort of Benidorm. You will also find shops with souvenirs, designer clothing, other clothing, jewellery, electrical goods and leather. Public transport in the resort is good, with regular buses taking you to other resorts in Costa Blanca. You are also likely to find a number of taxis offering very reasonable rates to take you to other resorts.

Denia – good weather all year round

Summers in Denia are very popular as they are so warm. Temperatures have been know to reach 40°C although they are normally around 30°C. There are clear blue skies to enjoy and cool breezes that help to keep you comfortable both day and night. July and August see the best weather with around 11 hours of sunshine a day. If there is rain in the summer then it is over and cleared about in a few hours so you can get back to sunbathing again afterwards. Winters in Denia are very mild and the minimum temperature is only 12°C. Most of the time, there are very sunny skies, however there is a higher chance of rainfall. The most rain falls in January, however you are still likely to see around 5 hours of sunshine a day.
