Conil - Located in South-West Spain

Conil is a holiday destination perfect for couples and families who enjoy sight seeing and spending quality time together in a relaxing environment. The transfer time is around 50 minutes meaning that there is plenty of time for you to see the picturesque surroundings as well as getting your bearings and understanding the location of your resort. The beaches in Conil are very popular as they are covered with fine white sands that link on to the clear seas and palm trees. There are a few hotels and apartments in the resort of Conil that offer many good facilities. They all range from 2-5-stars and offer everything from self-catering to all-inclusive.

Conil – plenty of things to see and do

Conil is a very popular resort that is home to a lot of history and culture. There are towers and churches for you to admire, as well as other buildings built along the old narrow streets. There is also a town museum which is a brilliant way to find out the history of the resort. If you prefer doing something more active, then why not head to the sports centre where you try a range of sports including tennis and table tennis. There are also plenty of other activities available, however horse-riding is probably the most popular as it is a brilliant way to get around the resort and look at all of your surrounding scenery. There are also plenty of nature walks that people can go on to nearby nature reserves.

Conil – plenty of places to eat and drink

Conil offers around 30 restaurants that all offer a mixture of local and international cuisines. You are likely to find a lot of seafood in the restaurants as well as finding Italian, Chinese, Spanish and British food. There are also a few cafés and cake shops. Nightlife mainly consists of sitting at the restaurants or taking a walk around the resort. There are a few bars with music and drinks, but it is a very relaxed resort when compared to others. There are many tourist shops selling souvenirs in Conil, as well as a few places to buy clothing. The weekly markets also sell a few little crafts and produce. There are no buses in the resort apart from during the peak summer months, meaning if you can, it is advisable that you take a taxi or hire a car. There are plenty of taxis in the resort and all offer reasonable rates.

Conil – brilliant sunshine all year round

The coldest temperature is in January and this is still around 17°C. The warmest temperatures come in August and are around 30°C. During the summer months, you will get 12 hours of sunshine a day along with warm water temperatures, meaning that water sports become very popular. There is a gently breeze sweeping across from the Atlantic making the heat comfortable and bearable. During the summer months, the evening temperatures are still around 15-20°C so if you can, it is advisable to get accommodation with air conditioning. During the evenings in winter, the temperature still rarely drops below 10°C meaning whatever time of year you come, you are likely to have a warm holiday. From late September to early October, you may find some rain but this does not last very long. There are still 7 hours of sunshine a day during the winter months meanings you still have a perfect climate to holiday in.
