There is plenty for you to do during the day and a favourite is water sports. You can try water-skiing, jet-skiing, scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing or even riding on a banana boat. If you prefer land activities then you can try tennis, squash, horse-riding, golf or even go-karting. There are plenty of places for you to visit both in an around the resort such as Aqualandia, Spain's biggest theme park Terra Mitica, a wax museum and an aquarium. There are some good excursions that you can go on should you choose to, such as a visit to the Algar waterfall, Cactus-landia or even a castle. The nightlife in Benidorm is very vibrant, lively and popular. The resort truly comes alive at night with discos, clubs, bars and restaurants. You can find everything from live music to cabaret shows, from top DJs to dancing and karaoke to casinos. There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from offering many different cuisines. You will find Tapas, seafood, Italian, Indian, Chinese, British, Mexican, Mediterranean, Thai and American. There are also many cafés, bars and pubs on offer, many of these open all day and most of the night, with something to offer everyone, whether it be live entertainment, music, cocktails or just a more relaxed atmosphere. You will find dancing, clubs and entertainment in the evenings with many clubs offering top International DJs to keep you up and moving all night long. There are many souvenir shops and markets in Benidorm as well as clothing and jewellery stores. The bus service in Benidorm is good, with 12 different routes taking you to other resorts such as Alicante. There are also many taxis around that are reasonably priced.
Summer holidays in Benidorm are very popular as they are so warm. Temperatures have been know to reach 40°C although they are normally around 30°C. There are clear blue skies to enjoy and cool breezes that help to keep you comfortable both day and night. July and August see the best weather with around 11 hours of sunshine a day. If there is rain in the summer then it is over and cleared about in a few hours so you can get back to sunbathing again afterwards. Winters in Benidorm are very mild and the minimum temperature is only 12°C. Most of the time, there are very sunny skies, however there is a higher chance of rainfall. The most rain falls in January, however you are still likely to see around 5 hours of sunshine a day.
