Benalmadena - Located on the South coast of Spain

Holidays in Benalmadena are very popular among families in the summer months. During the winter months you are more likely to find the more mature couples in the resort. Transfers from Malaga airport into Benalmadena don't take very long at approximately 40 minutes, meaning that you have plenty of time in your resort but you still have time to look at scenery and get an idea of the resort's location. Benalmadena has a lot of history, which is why the archaeology museum is so popular. It holds exhibits from the local area as well as other artifacts from Mexico and Central America. A trip to Tivoli World is definitely recommended as you can see flamenco shows and take a cable car world in the themed wild west world. Paloma Park is perfect for children as it has a play area and the Dolphinarium is also a must see. Down at the marina, it is recommended that you see the Sealife centre which has the biggest shark collection in Europe. There are also many excursions that you can try such as visiting Marbella, Malaga, Morocco and Seville.

Benalmadena benefits from many Tapas restaurants as well as a lot of seafood. There are also a lot of British foods such as fish and chips and steak and kidney pie. You may also find a few other cuisines such as Italian and Chinese. The nightlife in Benalmadena is very lively and exciting with loads of bars and clubs for you to enjoy. You will find one very large nightclub with a casino in Hotel Torrequebrada. There are plenty of places to shop, with many offering shoes, leather, clothing and jewellery. You will also find a weekly flea market. There are also plenty of souvenir shops for you to look at. There are plenty of metered taxis available as well as buses that run regularly and offer cheap fares.

Benalmadena has an average temperature of around 22°C with the average water temperature being 18°C. During the summer months, the water temperature can reach up to 23°C making water sports perfect. If you want to avoid visiting in the hottest months then visit in May or June where temperatures are around 27°C. The highest summer temperature tends to be around 30°C. The coldest month is January, however temperatures still manage to reach 16°C. The sun is always out and when it does rain, it is cleared up very quickly.
