There are no license and opening hours laws and in the summer you will find many bars staying open late offering a lot of entertainment. If you would prefer a more lively evening then a trip to Benidorm ten minutes a way would be a good idea as here you will find international DJs and late night bars and clubs. The restaurants offer a lot of high class meals and cuisines such as Spanish, Mediterranean, Chinese, Indian, British and Italian. The shops in Altea tend to send little crafts, artwork and souvenirs although you may find the odd clothing and jewellery store. For better shopping head over to Benidorm. There are plenty of buses and taxis in the resort that will take you into other resorts such as Benidorm. They are all reasonably priced as well.

This is when torrential rain comes down, making floods occur and destroying beaches with rough waves.
