Aguadulce is popular with couples and families, especially during the summer months, however, both young and older people enjoy the resort as well. The transfer time for the resort is around 30 minutes, meaning you only have a little time to take in the scenery and get a feel for the area that you are staying in. There are two beaches located in Aguadulce which are manned by lifeguards and offer showers, toilets and water sports. The beaches have golden sands and blue waters, making them very popular with both tourists and locals. The beach has even been awarded the European Blue Flag for cleanliness. The hotels in Aguadulce mainly range from 3-4 stars and all offer restaurant facilities. You will find everything in Aguadulce from self-catering in the apartments and villas, to all-inclusive in the hotels.
Aguadulce is home to three golf courses that are all very popular among tourists and locals. All three courses offer tuition, food, shops and the golfing equipment to you. There are also many water sports available to you such as jet-skiing, water-skiing, swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and windsurfing. There is plenty to look at in Aguadulce, including the views from the cliff tops of the volcanic landscapes. There are also many excursions that you can try, including bird watching and visiting the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.
Seafood is a favourite in many of the restaurants in Aguadulce. You will also find many places off English breakfasts and Chinese, Indian and Italian cuisines. There are quite a few Tapas bars in the resort which offer many different foods such as spicy sausages, fish and cheese and ham. You will find a lot of the evening entertainment in the hotels, with many dances and cabaret shows. There are bars and nightclubs in the resort, although it is not as lively as other places. A few of the bars will also offer cocktails and karaoke. There are plenty of shops for you to choose from in Aguadulce offering produce, clothing, souvenirs, jewellery and other little crafts. The public transport in Aguadulce is very good with many buses and taxis offering reasonable prices to take you to other resorts.
Aguadulce actually sees some of the best weather in Europe. June to September offer the best weather in Aguadulce, with pure sunshine all day and warm evenings. The temperatures rarely fall below 30°C during the summer months, with the winter months seeing temperatures of at least 16°C. You will have around 12 hours of sunshine a day in the summer and 6 hours in the winter. Aguadulce is a popular destination all year round as it is so warm and dry. Any rainfall that does fall is more than likely seen between October and March. There is a slight coastal breeze, so summer temperatures remain bearable.
