There are also plenty of coffee shops that are very popular with locals. A tip of 10-15% is expected in restaurants, bars and taxis. Budapest is home to most of the countries nightlife, with clubs, bars, discos and casinos all available to you. Shopping is also available where you are likely to find many traditional crafts and a lot of Hungarian wines and souvenirs.
Hungarian summers are good, with the hottest month being July, and temperatures reaching around 28°C. May to September will give you the best weather and warm temperatures, making them the perfect months for lazing around on a beach or by the pool. January is the coldest month, with temperatures reaching as low as -4°C. Spring and early summer are the wettest seasons, with the most rainfall occurring at this time. Winter is cold, however tends to be a lot drier.
