Sani – located on the western side of Halkidiki

Sani is a resort that attracts middle to upmarket visitors looking for a club-style holiday. Everything is outside the hotels so you do not have to walk for miles to find everything. The transfer time from Thessaloniki airport is only 1 hour, giving you just enough time to look around at surrounding scenery, as well as gain an understanding of the location of the resort and the location of your accommodation within the resort. The beaches in Sani are long and covered in pale sand, leading down to the waters edge. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols to hire and a wide number of water sports available. The beach also has some calm shallow waters making it safe for swimming. There are a number of hotels in Sani as well as a camp-site and villas. Everything from room-only to all-inclusive is available and the majority of accommodation is 2-4-stars.

Sani – plenty of activities to keep you occupied

There are a number of activities for you to enjoy in the resort. Many of the hotels have entertainment programmes on offer including the water sports at the beach. Water sports include water-skiing, jet-skiing, paragliding, scuba diving, snorkelling, surfing and windsurfing. Catamarans and banana boats are all also available. Other activities are available if you prefer to stay out of the water, such as tennis, archery, volleyball, an open-air cinema and a number of beauty treatments. There are also plenty of local excursions to go on such as cruises around the coast of Greece, exploring a number of fishing villages, exploring the monasteries of Athos, going shopping or sightseeing in Thessaloniki or visit the caves of Petralona.

Sani – brilliant hotel restaurants available

Sani hotels offer a range of cuisines, however they particularly specialise in traditional Greek cuisine and seafood. If you prefer to eat away from the hotels, then again, there are plenty of options available to you down at the marina. The nightlife is provided by the hotels. There are a variety of evening entertainment shows with music and dancing to keep you entertained. Shopping in Sani is basic with just a few souvenirs shops and hotel shops available. More options are available in other resorts. There is no public transport as such in Sani, however there are shuttle buses provided by the hotels that take you into nearby villages 5 times a day.

Sani – a typically Mediterranean climate

Sani has brilliant weather with over 300 days of sunshine per year. Summers in Sani are long and hot with winters being cool and wet. The average annual temperature is around 17.5°C however temperatures have been known to rise to 27°C and above. In April, the average temperature is around 15°C but rises to 20°C in May. April and May have around 8 hours of sunshine a day, with this rising to 12 in July and August. October and September still see temperatures of around 17-23°C and 6-8-hours of sunshine a day. November to February, temperatures drop and you will see more rainfall.
