Lassi is a resort that appeals to many different people on different levels such as middle market and upmarket couples, families and singles. The resort is the largest on the island of Kefalonia and is perfect for those looking to have fun in the sun and relax on the beach or by the pool. This resort is not one that will give you a particularly authentic Greek experience, however you will find it a relaxing beach resort. The transfer time for the resort is only around 20-30 minutes. This gives you plenty of time in the resort itself which means you have plenty of time to look around and get an understanding of where the resort is located. There are two main beaches in Lassi, known as Makris Yialos and Platis Yialos. Both are long and wide, covered in golden sand that leads down to the crystal clear waters edge. Sunbeds and parasols are available to hire on the beach and water sports are also available. The accommodation in the resort is good and varies from hotels to self-catering studios and apartments. You will find room only, half-board and all-inclusive in the hotels and all accommodation mainly ranges from 2-4-stars.
Lassi beaches are very popular among both tourists and locals which is why so many water sports are available to you. The water sports on offer include windsurfing, surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, jet-skiing, water-skiing, paragliding, hiring out pedalloes, swimming or going on boat trips. As well as this, there are a number of activities on dry land to enjoy such as go-karting, going on coastal walks or cycling around the resort. As well as this there is some exploring to be done such as at the peninsula and the Fanari lighthouse which gives you views across to Lixouri. There are also a number of local excursions for you to enjoy such as barbecue boat trips, Greek nights in local clubs, turtle-spotting, island tours, trips to other islands and resorts such as Lefkas and Zante, or a trip to the site and museum at Ithaca.
There are both upmarket restaurants and taverns available in Lassi offering a variety of cuisines. The favoured cuisine available is the local and traditional Greek cuisine, as well as a lot of seafood. If you prefer to have something more familiar to you, then there are a few places that offer you more international options such as Chinese and Italian. When it comes to nightlife, Lassi is livelier than some. There are a wide number of bars available to you, some with live music, as well as a number of Greek evenings in bars and restaurants and discos in Argostoli. Shopping in the resort is not brilliant, however you will be able to find souvenir shops, jewellery shops and mini markets available. Again, Argostoli has more options. There is public transport available in the resort taking you into Argostoli as well as a number of cheap taxis.
