Kremasti is a resort that caters to a wide range of visitors from upmarket people to those on a restricted budget. The transfer time can be anything from 15 to 30 minutes meaning you have just enough time to take a look around at surrounding scenery. It depends where in the resort you are staying and how you are travelling there as to how long your transfer will take. The beach in Kremasti runs the length of the resort and is covered in sand leading down to the waters edge. The breeze along the beach keeps the temperatures down, making it much more bearable. There are a number of water sports available as well as a lot of sunbeds and parasols to hire. A number of taverns and beach side snack bars are also available. You will find both hotels and self-catering apartments in Kremasti ranging from 2-4-stars and offering half-board and all-inclusive.
Kremasti has a brilliant beach with a number of water sports available. The water sports available to you include windsurfing, surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, jet-skiing, water-skiing, hiring a pedallo, riding a banana boat, going on boat trips or even just swimming. There are a number of local excursions available which are popular such as shopping and sightseeing in Rhodes Town. There are also a number of ancient sites for you to enjoy such as the acropolis on Mount Filerimos. There are also a number of Monasteries to enjoy. Lindos is a popular destination to visit with its ancient acropolis and there is a full island tour available to you. Boat trips are popular and are available to other resorts on the island or to other islands such as Turkey. There is also a scuba diving excursion and a water park in Faliraki that appeals to everyone.
Kremasti has a number of restaurants available to cater to your tastes. Most of the restaurants and taverns offer traditional Greek cuisine although you will also find Italian foods such as pasta and pizza. Seafood is also a popular favourite. There are a selection of bars and cafés to choose from but none stay open into the night. Music and cocktails can be found in most of the bars. Shops in the villages offer clothing and things for both tourists and locals whereas along the coast you will only really find mini markets and souvenir shops. There is a regular bus service into Rhodes Town as well as other villages making it easy to get around.
Kremasti enjoys a Mediterranean climate of very long and hot summers. July and August are the hottest months in the resort with an average temperature of 25°C although this commonly rises to highs of well over 30°C. May is the official start to the summer with temperatures at 21°C which quickly rises to 25°C by June. There is normally no rainfall over July and August and the evenings remain hot at highs of 22°C. July and August see 12 hours of sunshine a day which drops to around 5 hours a day in the winter. Spring and Autumn are pleasant times to come if you are not keen on very hot weather, with temperatures mostly ranging between 16-20°C. Winters tend to be mild in Kremasti with temperatures staying at around 10°C. Between October and May you can expect to see some rainfall but not to the extent that we are used to. December if the wettest month in Kremasti however it still tends to remain fairly warm.
