Ermones – located on the west coast of Corfu

Ermones is a resort that attracts young groups of couples and singles. It is generally a place for relaxation and somewhere to enjoy brilliant surroundings. Golfers and climbers will also enjoy it there. The transfer time from this resort is around 20-30 minutes. This gives you plenty of time in the resort itself and just enough time to take a look at surrounding scenery. The beach on the resort is fairly small however is still popular. It is important to make sure children are occupied at all times and the water deepens quite quickly in some areas. There are a number of apartments and hotels located in the resort. The apartments offer self-catering and the hotels offer half-board or all-inclusive.

Ermones – a number of activities available at hotels

Many activities in Ermones are based around the hotels. Entertainment and activity programmes are normally put on for holidaymakers. There is also an 18-hole golf course for you to enjoy as well as rock climbing for those of you looking for an exciting activity to try. At the beach you will find scuba diving which is a brilliant water sport and enables you to see some beautiful marine life. If you want more sightseeing and shopping then head to Corfu Town where you can spend a whole day looking around.

Ermones – a handful of taverns to choose from

Ermones is home to a few taverns that offer a lot of traditional Greek food and seafood. There are also around 3 discos for you to enjoy that stay open until late, particularly in high season. Other than that many people enjoy evenings at their hotels. There are a few shops in the resort mainly offering food and souvenirs. More choices are available in Corfu Town. Buses are available in Ermones that will take you into other resort such as Corfu Town, however it is a fairly long walk to catch a bus. Taxis are always available but make sure you ask how much a journey will be before you set off on it.

Ermones - constant sunshine on the island

There are around 300 days of sunshine in the resorts of Ermones. Summer temperatures have been known to reach above 30°C, with the hottest month being July, closely followed by August. You will see around 13 hours of sunshine a day at peak times, with the temperatures remaining at a comfortable level thanks to the coastal breeze. December and January are colder, however temperatures are still at around 12-15°C. Rain only occurs in the winter months from November onwards. The summers in Ermones are long, hot and dry, with September and October still seeing temperatures of around 25°C. The sea temperatures are quite warm in the summer but will cool down at night.
