Benitses – located on the east coast of Corfu

Benitses attracts families and mature couples looking for a relaxing time but it is unexciting for teenagers. The transfer time is around 40 minutes giving you just enough time to look around at all of the surrounding scenery as well as gain an understanding of the location of the resort and the location of your accommodation within the resort. The beach in the resort is small and covered in sand that leads down to the waters edge. The summer brings plenty of water based activities for you to enjoy. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols in Benitses for hire as well. There are both apartments and hotels in Benitses for you to enjoy. The apartments offer a self-catering board basis and the hotels offer half-board or all-inclusive. The hotels are all of a good quality and are generally 2-4-stars.

Benitses – plenty of beach based activities to enjoy

Benitses is home to some brilliant beach activities, especially in the summer months. The water sports at the beach are very popular and include paragliding, scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing and riding pedalloes. There is also a seashell museum nearby which some people may find interesting. There are a number of local excursions available to you with the main ones being boat trips. These include visits to secluded beaches and other islands such as Paxos. There are also a number of barbecues, cruises, island tours and even flights to Athens to enjoy. Corfu Town is a popular place to visit and many people enjoy shopping or sightseeing there.

Benitses – selection of restaurants to enjoy

Benitses is home to a number of restaurants, many of them being Greek. The traditional restaurants are very popular, however there are other options if this is not to you taste. A favourite is fish and chips although you will also find Chinese, a creperie and a lot of Italian pastas and pizzerias. There are a few discos in Benitses as well as a few pubs and bars that generally stay open for long hours, particularly in the summer months. There are mainly supermarkets and general stores around Benitses, although you will also find a number of souvenir shops available. Public transport in the resort is quite good with regular buses into Corfu Town, as well as a taxi\'s available around most of the resort. A number of buses also run to Moraitika and Kavos.

Benitses - constant sunshine on the island

There are around 300 days of sunshine in the resorts of Benitses. Summer temperatures have been known to reach above 30°C, with the hottest month being July, closely followed by August. You will see around 13 hours of sunshine a day at peak times, with the temperatures remaining at a comfortable level thanks to the coastal breeze. December and January are colder, however temperatures are still at around 12-15°C. Rain only occurs in the winter months from November onwards. The summers in Benitses are long, hot and dry, with September and October still seeing temperatures of around 25°C. The sea temperatures are quite warm in the summer but will cool down at night.
