Bali Resort Guide
Bali – located on the northern coast of Crete
Holidays to Bali have become more and more popular over the last few years. Bali is a resort suited to families and younger groups and couples. Many nationalities visit the resort for a beach holiday. Some areas are steep so the resort may not be suitable for those with severe walking difficulties. The transfer time for this resort is anything from 45 minutes to an hour. This gives you just enough time to look around at the surrounding scenery, gain an idea of the location of the resort and the location of your accommodation within the resort. There are 4 popular beaches in Bali for you to enjoy. All are covered with fine sand leading down to the calm sea which is perfect for swimming. The beaches can get very crowded, particularly in the summer seasons as water sports are offered. The accommodation in the resort is goof with a number of large hotels and self-catering apartments on offer. You will find a few room-only accommodations, as well as a few basic hotels. Most hotels range from 2-4-stars, although there are some 5-stars available. The hotels tend to offer half-board or all-inclusive. Bali – plenty of beach and water-based activities to enjoy
Cheap holidays to Bali offer something for all holidaymakers, both young and old. There are a number of water sports available at the beach in Bali including scuba diving, snorkelling, surfing, windsurfing, para-gliding, water-skiing and jet-skiing. Hiring pedalloes or going sailing have also proved to be very popular. Walking and mountain biking are both popular activities and give you some good views of the resort. They also enable you to look around at scenery nearby. There are also a number of excursions for you to try such as visiting a 17th-century monastery, taking boat trips to other islands or other beaches on the island of Crete or even to the sea caves and the village of Panormos. There are a number of historic towns to visit such as Chania, Heraklion and Rethymnon where there are plenty of sites for you to go and see. Package holidays to Bali are popular with families and it is a great holiday destination throughout the year.
Bali – plenty of places to choose from to eat out
Bali holidays all inclusive are excellent value for money and ideal for families and couples. There are a number of taverns and restaurants in Bali to choose from. Most offer traditional Greek cuisine and freshly caught seafood, although there are also a few places offering Italian and Chinese. There are also a number of tea shops and ice-cream parlours for you to enjoy in the day. There are a few dance clubs, taverns and music bars for you to enjoy that stay open fairly late. Shopping in the resort is fairly good, with mini markets, supermarkets, souvenir shops, jewellery shops, gift shops and clothing stores. There are money changing facilities available here, however if you want more serious shopping then head to Heraklion or Rethymnon. Public transport in the resort is fairly good with buses taking you to Rethymnon and Heraklion regularly. Taxis are also available and there are plenty of places for car-hire. Cheap accommodation in Bali have become increasingly popular and offer excellent value for money.
Bali – plenty of sunshine all year round
Bali summer season lasts from April until October and it tends to be very hot and dry and then mild in the winter. However all year round, the weather is good making it an ideal holiday destination all year round. From the beginning of the summer in April, the temperatures are already around 18°C and there are around 8 hours of sunshine a day. Temperatures continue to rise throughout the summer with them peaking at around 27°C in August. By then, there are 13 hours of sunshine a day. There is a gentle coastal breeze that keeps the temperature at a manageable level. From September to October there are 9-11 hours of sunshine a day and temperatures still remain at around 20°C. The winter rainfall starts in December, however the wettest months are January and February. There is a minimum of 4 hours of sunshine a day in this period with temperatures dropping to around 12°C.
